We would love to hear more about your project.
New Zealand based company, Delta Strike, is a leading manufacturer of Laser Tag systems.
A Royal Caribbean Experience
Royal Caribbean International is known for driving innovation at sea and has continuously redefined cruise vacationing since its launch in 1969. Each successive class of ships is an architectural marvel and pushes the envelope of what is possible on a cruise ship.
ServicesPre-Production, Production, and Post
Delta Strike’s Marketing Manager needed assistance producing a video for their client, Royal Caribbean International, who planned to launch a new ship in Paris, France. That is where we got involved.
Delta Strike built a custom laser tag arena, Planet Z, and provided the necessary laser tag equipment. The only thing they were missing was an instructional video to help explain the game to guests. The video had to include the rules and guest expectations in an engaging way. The goal was to provide an immersive video experience with a seamless transition of in-person dialogue to a digitally integrated announcement.
In the Studio
We started with a dark set to allow for the layering of production elements. Our lighting approach was atmospheric and suggestive. The on-camera talent was lit with a series of LED tubes. A teal key light is used to cool down the overall look of the scene. While the addition of a purple fill light adds a sense of urgency and mystery. The addition of a Fazer added depth to our shots.
Royal Caribean’s new ship had its maiden voyage in France. Now they have their sights set on an expansion to China. Good news is that our video is going with them.
Aim for the Stars
“Two forces are facing off and you’re about to be recruited. Whether you join the remnant of a robot civilization, or the alien scouting party looking for refuge from a meganova, only one force can take control in this glow-in-the-dark laser tag faceoff. Will your team be the one to claim the last planet for light years around? Take aim and find out in Battle for Planet Z℠.”
